Krapf's Coaches Provides Affordable Transportation
There are many ways to roam the streets of Chester County, but few boast the affordability and comfort of Krapf’s Coaches.
The 65-year-old Krapf Bus Cos. has been offering convenient, affordable and dependable transportation to Greater Philadelphia for years. With many locations around town, the company offers charter service, modern paratransit buses, efficient school bus service and local public transit service to more than 550,000 passengers a year.
“We move a lot of people on any given day,” says Gary Krapf, president of Krapf’s Coaches. “There are a lot of needs out there, and the increased traffic congestion will only make those needs grow.”
One of the company’s most popular services, called ROVER, gives seniors and those with special medical needs the freedom to get around, thanks to the use of 88 vehicles that serve up to 1,800 passengers. The program provides transportation to any number of activities for seniors, including doctors’ appointments and trips to the grocery store.
“They can get their hair done, or they can go to the mall,” Krapf says. “Whatever they need, we’ll provide the transportation.
Krapf’s Chartered Motor Coaches are a luxurious way to travel. The modern coaches come equipped with VCRs, stereo systems and courteous drivers. Some area residents board the coaches to enjoy a visit to Atlantic City, one of the company’s daily coach services.
“You can really charter our buses to go anywhere,” Krapf says.
Krapf also offers an unsubsidized transit service that transports thousands daily. Route A, the company’s most frequently used route, transports 1,000 people per day, with 50 stops along the way. The company also provides 200 school buses for the West Chester Area School District and is a longstanding partner with West Chester University to help get students around campus.
